Congratulations to the Severn Trent and BNM Alliance Newark Team who won the ‘Community Engagement’ Award at the New Civil Engineer (NCE) Tunnelling Awards for their ‘Customers and Communities First Initiative. A great achievement for the whole project team!
The Community Engagement Award recognises a tunnelling project that have outstanding community engagement. Project teams that can demonstrate an understanding and recognition of the importance of working with local communities. Teams that have gone the extra mile to have not just sought to mitigate the impact of construction on the community, but provided true outreach in the form of engagement with schools and the wider community.
